The Firm was founded by José António Pinto Ribeiro in 1975.

J. A. Pinto Ribeiro & Associates has an origin strongly rooted in the area of Private Law, especially in Banking and Corporate Law and, since 2000, expanded its business to the area of Administrative Law and Public Markets, in which it has achieved a significant role.

The Firm has acquired solid experience and wide practice, especially in the field of Banking and Financial Law, Competition Law, Copyright and Industrial Property, Labour Law, Real Estate and Securities Markets,  Public Procurement and in public-private partnerships.

With a strong link to the academic world, the Firm has been called upon to cooperate in many projects of legislative output.
